The Aiphone C-123LW ChimeCom single-door answering system with dual master intercoms enables audio communication with visitors prior to authorizing access to the building with the door release button. The dual master intercoms provide the master intercom operator with increased control over a large area or multiple rooms. When a visitor presses the door intercom's call button, the master intercom emits a two-tone chime to alert the master intercom operator. Each master intercom has both a push-to-talk button and a pull cord that can be used to initiate audio transmission to the door intercom. Once the cord or button is released, sound from the door intercom is transmitted immediately to the master intercom, automatically shutting off after 20 seconds. The door-release button on the master intercoms works with an electric strike (sold separately) to remotely unlock the entrance for the visitor.

Everything was as described. Arrived as promised. Purchased for a customer to replace a bad gate opening system. They are happy with this one.

Works as advertised. Installation was straightforward and no problems were encountered. I used it with an existing door release mechanism and power source, using the wiring guide that came with the unit.

I was looking for a simple door buzzer entry system that was inexpensive and would replace a Nu-Tone system that failed after 20 years. I thought replacement would be an easy task. I would simply order a replacement Nu-Tone system. I was wrong. Nu-Tone discontinued the unit. In searching the web I was dismayed to find that door intercoms had become very sophisticated. They could open several doors, be attached to your phone, had video cameras, played music. Gimme a break. I wanted a door buzzer with an intercom that would also operate a door release. The Airphone LEM1DLS system does this. I had an electrician install the unit and it works fine. So if you are looking for a simple system, this is the one.

Make sure you have overall shielded wire to connect the door stations to the inside master stations, otherwise you wont be able to get rid of any loud buzzing or humming noise that some get on the voice line. Wire gets too close to high voltage lines, or the master mounted next to a light switch, will cause noise problems. Without shielded wire, your stuck.
